- The Dive (general): calm sea,
water temp: 29C (year round), no to moderate current, with swell underwater, uw visibitily 10 - 30+m, great to visit
whole year round, best October - March (less swell, less surge). A few
wrecks is interesting but only good to dive when it's not raining as it's
very close to mainland, any washout will worsen the visibility uw.
- The Surf: all range - from beach break, point
break, river mouth breaks, bombara wave for beginner to intermediate level.
29C paradise water, best April - September. Wave height can ranged to an
average of 1 metre (3ft) wave (left and right) to a good 2.5 metre wave.
Pantai Air manis, Muara Penjalinan, Pasir Jambak, Karang Garbu-o are some of
the surf sites that has easy access from town.
For more advanced surfer, Padang is the gateway to Mentawai Achipelago
for the glassy big wave and tube (barrel)! wait for our surf package!).
